The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is one of the most important museums in Italy for European and American art of the twentieth century is based in Venice at the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal, in what was once Peggy Guggenheim’s home. The museum features Peggy Guggenheim’s personal collection, masterpieces from the D’Hannelore B. and Rudolph B. Schulhof Collection, the Nasher Sculpture Garden and temporary exhibitions. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is owned by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, which operates in conjunction with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
